This tour will drive you through the origins of famous playwright: Sir William Shakespeare where you will have the opportunity to see some interesting historic sites including the Birthplace of Sir William Shakespeare, Anne Hathaway’s cottage and other popular sights.
Henley Street: The original street where Sir William Shakespeare was born in a half-timbered house.
The Royal Shakespeare theatre: A grade II listed building where many great plays including Shakespeare’s take place.
Mary Arden’s farm: Also known as Mary’s Arden’s house was built by Shakespeare’s grandad during the early 1500’s and was the childhood home of Shakespeare’s mother Mary Arden. The farm still holds much of its 16th century features today.
Holy Trinity church: The church where Sir William Shakespeare was baptised, worshipped and is now buried.
Anne Hathaway’s cottage: The birth place and childhood home of Sir William Shakespeare’s wife Anne Hathaway. This charming cottage still holds much of the original features and furniture.
Tudor World: The Tudor World museum is a great interactive place to visit and get a feel for what is was like to live during the Tudor period.
